4/6/2020 1 Comment #DistanceLearningSome of us are in week three of this #DistanceLearning some longer. I remember when I #homeschooled my girls, it was a choice we made. And it was a hybrid program, I picked up packets from the school, then I facilitated the curriculum. To which we were able to add additional classes like dance, music and even swimming in our backyard for P.E. We lived in California at the time, so the girls really liked P.E. class. I know most of the parents out there may be experiencing some challenges with the new norm. So, I checked in with a close friend who is a teacher and who also lives in China and here are her #DistanceLearningTips: If you are trying to homeschool your children, there are many ways to do this if you have access to the internet. I even heard if you check wifi companies are giving free access to wifi, and they will go to your house to install the program for you. I do not have access to those companies, but you could call to find out. As far as online programs, there are many programs who are giving free access to their pages, so here are quite a few you can review: Go Noodle (indoor exercise...tons of songs, dances, educational songs, etc.), Kahoot (challenge quizzes), Khan Academy (math and other skills), edhelper (worksheets), starfall (reading), mystery science, generation genius (10 day free trial). Also, there are so many things on Youtube, GodTube, Teachertube...just to name a few. I hope this helps you get started with whatever you need to do to provide for your children. I hope these tips help. Check back for more #PhysicalDistancingTips. Let's stay #StaySocialVirtually. #StayStrong my friends until next time!
